When the sci-fi series The Orville needed helmets and jetpacks that looked believable on camera and could perform during filming, the production partnered with SCPS Unlimited. Our team traveled to the set in Los Angeles and 3D scanned each cast member between takes to capture precise body data without interrupting production. Using this data, we digitally designed each accessory for comfort, mobility, and screen accuracy while ensuring the jetpacks integrated with existing costumes and housed signature weapon props.

Many technical elements including jet packs, helmets, eyewear, and prop components were created using our fleet of industrial 3D printers. With design, engineering, and fabrication all completed in house, the result was a series of detailed spacesuits that looked authentic on screen while holding up to the demands of television production.
