Debuting at the League of Legends “Arcane” Finale Event in Los Angeles, “Jayce’s Mission” was an interactive experience that showcased both our fabrication and creative tech skills. The centerpiece was a three sided structure, with each piece constructed to resemble the main wall in a portal room as seen in both the game and show. Each wall was powered by fifteen nodes connected to a single local network while custom in house software was developed to monitor all wall behavior as well as to change physical properties like LED color.
Built with a fiberglass head, a soft touch trigger, an infrared sensor and a rechargeable battery, fans and cast members competed in a Wack-A-Mole style game using Jayce’s Hammer to deactivate the Hexgate. A visual scoreboard app built upon web technologies displayed player scores at the event. This scoreboard, back lit LED displays embedded in each wall, were controlled through a tablet that ambassadors also used to register participants for a chance to win an hourly prize.Do you have a project that could use our expertise?
