Working alongside the film’s costume designer, our specialty costuming team had a large role in creating the environment suit worn by fan favorite, Gurney Halleck in Dune: Part Two. Built from scrapped suits and spare parts, we transformed detailed concept artwork into a true to story character in and of itself.

Storytelling Made Real

— BRINGING CHARACTER TO LIFE —

To accurately represent the immersive tale of sand and turmoil, the little details define the experience in ways that words can’t. Our design team meticulously sculpted and modeled each imperfection and evidence of struggle into the suit to help portray the hardships of time passed on Arrakis and beyond. Our fabrication team then added the final layers of story through natural weathering and wear.

An added layer of believability was achieved through hand selecting and creating unique fabrics and patterns within the suit that felt familiar to the functional structure of other suits seen in Dune, yet uniquely built as a one of a kind creation. With custom fit components, both rigid and soft, the entire costume was handmade including custom boots, gloves, and a rigid torso set that featured a full visor helmet, backpack and a functioning neck seal to keep out the punishing sands of Arrakis.
