Prior to the founding of SCPS Unlimited, the principal worked on the feature film Team America: World Police, serving in a build supervision role that supported the coordination and execution of a wide range of physical assets across the production, including puppets, sets, and vehicles. The project required close collaboration across departments, with hands-on involvement in the development and integration of custom puppets within complex physical environments.

Working alongside a highly experienced miniature FX team known for large-scale, realism-driven productions, the initial approach leaned toward traditional cinematic accuracy. However, the creative direction called for a deliberately stylized world. Craig contributed to this shift by developing set mockups and refining scale and proportion to align with the film’s satirical tone. Through the application of forced perspective and experiential design principles, he helped create environments that conveyed a convincing sense of scale while maintaining the intentionally exaggerated aesthetic.

This early experience working at the intersection of fabrication, design intent, and on-set execution helped establish a practical, production-first approach that continues to influence SCPS Unlimited’s work today.
