For Avengers: Infinity War, every costume element had to perform under the demands of production while maintaining a precise, camera-ready finish.
Working alongside costume designer Judianna Makovsky, SCPS Unlimited supported the fabrication of specialized components for key characters including Falcon, Thor, and Black Widow.
Our approach combined traditional costume fabrication with modern techniques such as 3D scanning, 3D printing and advanced manufacturing, allowing us to create lightweight, durable elements designed for performance, flexibility, and consistency on set.
Each piece was engineered to integrate seamlessly into the costume design while supporting the physical demands of filming, including stunt work, movement, and extended wear.
Black Widow
Black Widow’s costume required a balance of precision, flexibility, and durability.
SCPS Unlimited fabricated multiple integrated elements, including the Widow’s Bite gauntlets and backpack, along with exterior armor-style components such as her knee pads, shoulder pads, and additional tactical elements.
These pieces were designed to be lightweight and form-fitting, allowing for a full range of motion while maintaining a clean, consistent on-screen appearance. Every component needed to move naturally with the actor while holding up under the physical demands of production.
THOR
For Thor, functionality was integrated directly into the costume design.
SCPS Unlimited developed select armor components with hidden mechanisms that allowed for controlled movement and interaction during key moments on screen. These elements were engineered to support performance without compromising the visual strength and presence of the character.
Each piece had to function reliably while maintaining continuity across scenes and takes.
Falcon
Falcon’s goggles are one of the character’s most recognizable and technically demanding elements. To achieve a precise fit, SCPS Unlimited utilized 3D scanning technology to capture accurate facial data, allowing us to fabricate goggles tailored specifically to the actor. This process ensured both comfort and consistency across filming conditions.
The final piece integrates seamlessly into the costume while maintaining the durability and performance required for repeated on-set use.
Even the smallest details play a critical role in how a character is realized on screen.
From precision-fit components to performance-driven fabrication, this work supports both the visual and functional demands of large-scale film production.
