CUSTOM EXHIBIT FABRICATION
CUSTOM EXHIBIT FABRICATION
— FOR BRANDS, AGENCIES & CREATIVE TEAMS —
Every exhibit starts differently. Some clients come to us with detailed production drawings and engineered plans. Others bring renderings, sketches or a creative concept that still needs to be figured out.
SCPS works with creative teams to determine how an exhibit can be engineered, fabricated, finished and assembled while staying true to the original vision.
With fabrication, prototyping, 3D printing, electronics and technology capabilities available through our Los Angeles shop, we can take on complex exhibit projects that require more than conventional construction.

Working together with creatives from Tool of North America to launch Lexus’ new sports car, the “LIT” IS showcases our synchronized workflow of the mapping, physical application, and digital programming of 41,999 LEDs. The result was an adaptable system projecting amazing lighting effects that was reactive to both music and gesture. The vehicle went on to be featured at countless events, and in Dua Lipa’s Be the One music video.
CES Expo 2018
To illustrate Intel and Mobileye’s sensory technology, we produced two stunning, interactive installations artfully resembling full-sized vehicles constructed of clear acrylic slices. Our digital wizards 3D modeled the vehicles and engineered the overall structure, including support systems, housing for the tech and electrical components all prior to fabrication. Interactive control systems powered the lighting displays throughout the structures giving a sense of mobility to the static vehicles.
Conceived in conjunction with NASA and Victory Hill Exhibitions, the exhibit shows the science behind all of the favorite characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Created to be very hands-on and interactive, the elements were made to hold up to a lot of abuse. Each component was also designed to be quickly and easily repaired on site, reducing any potential down time.
San Diego Comic Con
To help celebrate the 80th anniversary of Batman’s creation, we were brought on by DC and AT&T to create Rogues Gallery Rumble for Comic-Con, an immersive experience that had fans fighting against the Joker and the Riddler, complete with sound effects and huge graphic text. We custom programmed software to integrate with a series of accelerometers, projection mapping and sound systems, displaying the coordinated graphics and simultaneous sound effects every time the rigged punching bag was whacked.
Dreamforce 2023
To help announce Salesforce’s latest innovation at the 2023 Dreamforce event, we created a system with a prompt station remotely connected to three peripheral pen plotters that would help visitors map out their path through Dreamforce based on the things they wanted to learn about. Our creative technologists custom built the software package to mimic Salesforce AI, while our fabrication design team created a custom input system to allow hands-on interaction.
Dreamforce
Salesforce asked us to help their employees utilize new software to elevate their businesses and careers. Inspired by string art creations, participants first enter their Automation and Integration needs into a touchscreen kiosk, which triggers the creation of a path of light along a large peg board displayed above. Each Trailblazer marks their path using lengths of string resulting in a multicolored tapestry of string and light by the end of the event.
We designed and fabricated the Carbon Vision Mirror, combining creative technology fabrication, electronics integration, and interactive prototype development.
Created to foreshadow a future pairing with their Watsonx Ai, we designed and fabricated smart table tennis paddles that were used in IBM’s “Calling the Shots” activation at SXSW. Our creative technologists developed custom software and hardware to calculate serve speed, distinguish between forehand vs. backhand hits, and general ball trajectory. We also created animations that represented a participant’s “real time game play”, as well as a post-game dashboard that kept track of stats from each game participants played.
The Red Bull Energy Meter was a one-of-a-kind installation featuring 2,626 LEDs at Evo 2025.
CLIENTS
Successful exhibits require more than great design. They have to function in the real world, accommodate technology, withstand interaction and deliver the experience envisioned by the creative team.
SCPS brings fabrication, engineering, prototyping and technology integration together under one roof. This allows our team to solve unusual production challenges and develop custom solutions throughout the build process.
Whether we’re working directly with a brand or behind the scenes with an agency or production company, our role is simple: determine how to build the idea and bring it to life.
