We’ve turned a luxury SUV into an elite gaming station, transformed a sports car into a mobile vinyl player and reimagined a food truck as a hub for live streamed experiences. Where others see four tires, an engine, and some seats, SCPS Unlimited sees custom vehicles as a place to let your imagination run wild.

Lexus’ “All In” 2021 IS ad campaign saw the creation of the Gamers’ IS. SCPS provided multiple concepts as well as end-to-end design fabrication, and install of the interior, exterior and custom controller for the car. The crowd favorite “Neon Tokyo” theme required the integration of custom RGB lights, drink cooler, and a full gaming rig. The vehicle has gone on to be featured in a variety of trade shows, live events, and the 100 Thieves YouTube channel.
Working together with creatives from Tool of North America to launch Lexus’ new sports car, the “LIT” IS showcases our synchronized workflow of the mapping, physical application, and digital programming of 41,999 LEDs. The result was an adaptable system projecting amazing lighting effects that was reactive to both music and gesture. The vehicle went on to be featured at countless events, and in Dua Lipa’s Be the One music video.
For Volvo’s experiential and broadcast campaign marketing the XC90 T8 Hybrid Electric, we created a peristaltic system consisting of a “driving mat” placed atop a series of water filled tubing connected to a device capable of capturing the hydraulic energy from passing cars and transferring it to electrical energy. We produced the entire system to be modular for ease in transportation, setup, and strike.
Team One and Lexus gave us the opportunity to create an exhilarating 4D VR experience that connected users to the feeling of being behind the wheel of a race car. The custom fabricated simulator consisted of a race car seat connected to the base by multiple axis points. Based on accelerations and braking observed through the VR goggles, servo motors mimicked the same movement and gave the passenger a synchronized experience complete with blasts of warm air and the smell of burning rubber.
In this experiential and broadcast campaign for Nissan, we were brought on board to bring their Intelligent Safety Shield Technologies to life. In the span of six days, we installed, and operated on set, including building a steel structure safely engineered to withstand the weight and movement of the showcased vehicle. The underlit structure also featured programmable lighting systems triggered by the participant’s movements and highlighted the vehicle’s multiple safety features using an edge-lit acrylic effect.
After the maiden voyage of XQ’s Super School Bus, the non-profit educational experience super bus needed some upgrades. Our creative technologists and fabricators refreshed the interior and revamped the bus with a custom programmed display panel wall for users to be able to explore informational content, as well as an interface to allow the client to change content on the fly.
Eternals World Premier
We were petitioned to design and wrap 10 character-inspired Lexus concept vehicles, for the Los Angeles premiere of Marvel Studios’ Eternals. For each vehicle, we found the right balance between character traits and costume details to design into the custom multi layered wrap for an assortment of different Lexus vehicles. Each vehicle also had programmed golden LED lighting in the grilles and underbodies, representing the shared energy force utilized by the Eternals.
CES Expo 2018
To illustrate Intel and Mobileye’s sensory technology, we produced two stunning, interactive installations artfully resembling full-sized vehicles constructed of clear acrylic slices. Our digital wizards 3D modeled the vehicles and engineered the overall structure, including support systems, housing for the tech and electrical components all prior to fabrication. Interactive control systems powered the lighting displays throughout the structures giving a sense of mobility to the static vehicles.
Produced in collaboration with GPJ, the Nissan Leaf Plus Exhibit at the 2019 LA Auto Show allowed customers to glide two separate monitor housings around a sleek track assembly which encircled the vehicle. Digital graphics and highlighted points of interest were overlaid in augmented reality onto the vehicle as the monitors revolved around the track. Designed to accommodate various vehicles, the tech was also easily updatable, giving it a new look and interactive experience.
This gigantic Carl’s Jr. spectacle was used in a national spot in which bystanders were assaulted with burgers. After rendering the 12-foot-tall mega-sandwich in 3D and fabricating it, we engineered a large platform turntable strong enough to support the XXXL burger on top of a semi-truck. The pneumatic-powered, recoiling, turret-mounted launcher on the “Burger Assault Vehicle” shot foam burgers up to 300 feet.
